Lavender in Illinois? Sure!

As summer approaches we are eagerly anticipating our first year of production from our lavender plants. We are truly excited to see what this summer will bring!

Sitting on the back deck, middle of a hot summer day in 2021 surrounded by lavender plants in pots. Cal wondered what if we grew it as a farm product. Fast forward, a ton of research later here we are! Lavender is not a short term plant it takes a few years to develop and we are going to be experiencing hopefully a full harvest this year. As we approach this exciting milestone we are happy and excited to introduce our small family operation. Color It Lavender will be dried lavender bundles, fresh lavender (when in season), hydrosol (lavender water) and a variety of products made from our essential oil. We are also exploring some other items but for now we're going to stick with lavender!
